How does it work?
During you visit, one of our certified staff members will draw blood from your arm. Then the blood is spun to separate platelet rich fibrin. Using the power of your own stem cells in your blood, we will inject into the scalp to promote hair growth and repair.
How many sessions do I need?
Everyone’s case is unique, but we recommend 3 treatments one month apart, and a 4th treatment after 6 months for maintenance. When following this protocol patients report 80-90% success
Can baldness be cured?
Unfortunately alopecia has a genetic predisposition, baldness can’t be cured. This procedure done by Dr. Quevedo can help repair and maintain thicker hair for years to come.
Does the procedure hurt?
No, a small needle is use to inject the PRF into the scalp. We also provide patient with the option of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) along with anesthetic gel applied to the scalp. Most patients have very little to no discomfort.
What is the recovery like and when do I see results?
Most of our patient’s area able to resume normal activities after the procedure. Some side effects are itching, small areas of redness, mild swelling and minor bleeding at injection site. Typically, in 3 months patients are seeing thickening and regrowth of their hair. With the final results fully visible in 6-12 months. Please be aware that results might not be permanent, the reason is that hair loss is a multi-factorial condition.
How long is the procedure?
The procedure takes 60 minutes which includes anesthetic gel being applied to the scalp, nitrous oxide, blood draw, PRF processing, and injections.
